Description

The Griswold & Gunnison revolver was produced in the Confederate South as an alternative to the widely used Colt 1851 Navy revolver. Due to wartime material shortages, these revolvers were constructed with brass frames instead of steel, making them a unique adaptation of existing firearm designs. Manufactured in Georgia from 1862 to 1864, only a few thousand were produced before the factory was destroyed.
