Karabiner 98 Kurz was adopted on June 21, 1935 as a standard service rifle of the German Wehrmacht. It was developed by Mauser company and was one of the final models of the long rifle. This rifle remained in service until the end of WWII by the German military. There were approximately 14.6 million rifles produced between 1935 and 1945. The carbine rifle featured a 600 mm barrel and had an effective range of 500 meters with muzzle velocity of 2493 ft/s.
Denix has recreated this historical rifle in a non firing form for the purposes of collectors, reenactors, film and theatrical productions. The model features metal and wood body construction, realistic weight and size to the original. K98K prop also features working bolt action, sight and trigger mechanisms. This model is available with and without the sling.
